Competent and knowledgeable, but communication could be clearer

I hired Annamaria Enenajor of Ruby Shiller Enenajor to assist with a complex administrative law matter involving a local business license in San Francisco. Her recognition in Administrative and Public Law was evident; she clearly understood the regulatory landscape and drafted a compelling submission to the city agency. The outcome was favorable, which is the most important thing. However, my experience was a mixed bag. While her substantive knowledge in her recognized practice areas is solid, the practical aspects of client service felt underdeveloped. There were periods of several days where I received no updates, and I often had to follow up for basic status reports. Her explanations of legal strategy, while thorough when provided, sometimes came across as rushed. For a straightforward matter, her competence is undeniable, and the three years of experience showed in her handling of the paperwork. Yet, for someone seeking a more hands-on, communicative partnership, the experience fell a bit short of expectations. She is clearly a sharp attorney, but the client service side didn't quite match the legal acumen.
