Competent on the appeal, communication could be better

Caitlin Ohama-Darcus at Lawson Lundell handled my administrative law appeal regarding a complex state licensing board decision. Her background in Administrative and Public Law was evident, and her recognition in appellate practice is well-deserved based on the thorough brief she prepared. The legal strategy was sound and we achieved a remand, which was our primary goal. However, the experience felt somewhat transactional. Response times to emails were occasionally slower than expected, and I sometimes felt I had to follow up for updates. For straightforward appellate matters, she is certainly capable, but I was hoping for a more consistently communicative partnership throughout the process.
