Competent on transaction, but communication could improve

Mark Mihanovic handled the acquisition of a small biotech asset for our company. His deep experience, particularly in life sciences M&A, was evident in the diligence and deal structuring. He clearly knows this space inside and out. The work product was solid and he leveraged his 40 years of practice effectively. However, the process felt somewhat impersonal. Responses to emails were sometimes delayed by a day or two, and we occasionally had to follow up for updates. For a straightforward deal, his expertise from McDermott Will & Schulte was sufficient, but I expected more proactive communication given his senior role and recognition in corporate law. He got the job done competently, but the client experience was merely adequate.
